01 How would you describe your style of wedding photography?

The majority of my photography is candid and unobtrusive with a more formal approach to group portraits of family and friends.

02 What is your philosophy toward photographing weddings?

I work very hard to be quiet and discreet, and I don't want the bride and groom to be constantly aware of my presence. This quiet approach allows me to better document the spirit, energy, and spontaneity of the wedding day. I also look for the details that make every wedding unique.

03 What are your prices?

Our rates start at $2,795. That includes 10 hours of photographic coverage, one leather LITTLE BLACK BOOK , two photographers, digital photographs of your wedding on DVD for personal use, and an easy to use ONLINE GALLERY. The online gallery can be shared with family and friends. Depending on the size of your wedding you can expect to receive between 600 - 1000 digital pictures that best represent your day.

04 Do you require a deposit, and when is it due?

A non-refundable retainer is due seven business days after booking us. This fee is required to guarantee your reservation. If the retainer is not received in seven business days, then the date will be released.

05 Can you hold our wedding date?

Due to the popularity of most weekends during wedding season, we are unable to hold dates. All dates are considered open until the retainer is received.

06 Do you use film or digital cameras?

I use professional quality digital cameras to photograph weddings.

07 Do you offer albums?

Clients may choose from albums of various sizes and materials. We offer hand-made albums and stationery as well.

08 When may we see our pictures?

The entire wedding will be ready for viewing six weeks after the wedding day via a link to your personal online wedding gallery.

09 What is your turnaround time for finished albums?

This depends on the album chosen. Art Albums and Flush Mount Albums are usually ready 4 to 6 months after the wedding day. Contemporary Albums are usually ready 4 months after the wedding day.

10 Do you photograph more than one wedding a day?

No. Photographing a wedding is challenging--physically and emotionally. It would not be fair to couples if I were to photograph their wedding and give less than 100% of myself.

11 Do you offer retouching services?

Yes. Any retouching (from simple to advanced) is an extra charge service. Estimates for retouching will vary depending on the complexity of the work being requested. Some common examples of retouching include (but are not limited to) blemish removal, line softening, skin smoothing, wrinkle removal and minimizing visually distracting things such as exit signs and phone and power lines.

12 How do I choose a photographer?

Visiting wedding photography web sites is a good place to start; and then decide which photographers to call. If you like the photographer on the phone, go visit their studio. Don't hesitate to call other wedding vendors such as florists and caterers to ask for recommendations. When looking through sample albums, pay attention to your emotional responses to the photography and to the communication skills of the photographer. Once you've decided on a photographer whose work interests you, contact them to discuss availability, expectations, pricing, packages and so on.
